Youstciker.comOffline we often use stickers as an essential part of the office desk. Why not use them online? That is the essence of the main idea of our project.
The project is for people, who often use the Internet in everyday life. It gives an opportunity to share opinions, keep information and comment on everything, that happens on the Web, on the same pages.
Engineering
While engineering we introduced strict requirements for the project. They are: crossbrowsering, immediate registration, simple interface and flexible functions.
Taking into account a great amount of browser peculiarities, we managed to meet the first requirement. Stickers were successfully tested on all popular browsers (Firefox 2+, IE6+, Opera, Safari, and Chrome).

To sign up/log in on the site you can use your account on Google, Twitter, or universal OpenID.
Simple and convenient interface.
While developing the interface, the ideas of popular social projects were taken into account. In the result interfaces were made, the description of which you will find below.
This is how our demo-sticker, located on home page, looks like. There you can drag it and click on the buttons without registration and invitations.
Functions of the Sticker
Sticker is posted on the page with some comment. You can choose the color, the type size, the position of the sticker on the page, set the status of the sticker, either private or public. You can also add the sticker in the group you join. Time for editing the public sticker is limited to10 minutes.
This is how the sticker of another user looks like. You can rate the sticker, comment on it, subscribe to the author’s feed, make a complaint with the help of the Report button or simply hide it. The stickers appear in those places where they were “stuck”.
Toolbar interface
A special toolbar was developed for an easy view. It can be moved, minimized and hidden on the page. With its help one can log in, create and view the stickers on the current page. If there are more than 5 stickers on the page, pagination appears.Here are some modes of sticker viewing:

User Page
The main unit is a feed, which contains the user’s stickers and his subscriptions. On the feed you can also rate stickers, comment on them, add them to favorites and delete your own stickers. On the site you can exchange direct messages with people, but only if you read each other. You can create groups, invite your friends there. Groups can be public or private, if you want to share valuable information not with everybody, but only with the invited users.
User settings
In settings you can add an avatar, look through the accounts you logged in, enable crossposting in Twitter (only if you have an account in Twitter, currently is in test mode), subscribe to emails, choose your time zone and invite friends.
How to start using YouSticker?
Sign up, add our icon in bookmarks or favorites (if it’s IE) and you are a real YouSticker user.
If you’re a Firefox user, you have an opportunity to set our plug-in. For webmasters and developers we offer a small widget. It’s a button-counter which will show how many stickers are there on your site.
